The Difference Just One Person Can Make

I know suicide isn't an uplifting topic, but this story about a man in China who is doing his part to stop complete strangers from taking their own lives reminded me of all the ways we can each make a difference in the world. I have what I like to refer to as a peculiar "gift", and was amazed to learn that this lovely lady shared my passion, not to mention wealth of knowledge. Within 60 seconds of the beginning of any Brady Bunch episode, I can tell you exactly which episode it is - the dilemma, the key players, the outcome, etc. Does this make me kind of cool in a retro-TV Land kind of way or is it actually a little bit...weird?
Here's another confession - in this celebrity filled universe that is Los Angeles, I have had my share of celebrity sightings...A-List celebrities, Oscar winners, you name it. But when Florence Henderson - AKA Mrs. Brady - came into my peripheral vision, all dignity was thrown out the window and I made a complete Brady-fan fool of myself. Ms. Henderson was very gracious and kind about it and I will always be so appreciative of the fact that she didn't roll her eyes with a "Not another one!" sigh of exasperation.
So for all you Brady fans out there - I know you exist - it is time to come out of the closet and sing some Brady tunes with me. Let's put on our pajamas & watch all the episodes together:
Let's pay homage to the most fabulous TV family around at The Brady Bunch Shrine, sing along with Marcia,
and remember that all the answers to all our problems can always be found in the Brady household:
If that isn't enough to feed your Brady yearnings, these two movies will make you feel stuffed. For any true Brady devotee, a million inside jokes are yours for the asking in these hilarious spoofs of all we've come to love about Mike, Carol, Marcia, Greg, Jan, Peter, Cindy, Bobby and Alice:
P.S. Props to Johnny Bravo!
