The Last Lecture

I read an article about Randy Pausch many weeks ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about. Trying to make the most of his final days as well as impart wisdom to his children and the world, this is Mondo Beyondo, bittersweet inspiration.
Have a very wonderful weekend.
This Ordinary Day

[Flowers in Joshua Tree, taken last week]
This Ordinary Day - a new blog created by eight creative souls from all over the country - just launched. Bookmark this site and see watch this wonderful blog grow!
"...it's the ordinary things in this world that make it worth living. The good stuff is all around us, everywhere we look, just waiting to be noticed. Appreciated. Celebrated. Maybe, just maybe, if we take a moment and think about the ordinary life we're all living, we'll realize it's the best thing anyone in this world has going, because it's simple and it's beautiful and it is wholly ours." -Sammi, This Ordinary Day
Rear Windows

So This Is What He Has Been Up To

Peter Gabriel is one of my heroes. His groundbreaking videos and powerful music makes me wish he spent more time in the recording studio, but I love to see artists push their boundaries and choose to explore rather than stay on the safe and familar path. You can read about his latest project - The Filter - here. It isn't available for the Mac yet, but as soon as it is I'll be checking it out.

And When You Google "Cool Architecture..."

...you get sent to The Cool Hunter, one of your weekly links this week. Super-freaky, n'est pas? I didn't even realize they had an entire section devoted to architecture, but I must say their selections are the epitome of COOL.

Let's have a martini with three olives and listen to Dean Martin on our refurbished hi-fi.

Then we'll head to the neighbor's house to catch a film. It's all cool, daddy-o.

Obsessed
I hope you aren't beginning to think, "Enough about India!" but I'm on a roll here so I'm going with it! Plus I am being given lovely links by my India connection Nina McConigley and I can't resist sharing them here. Her latest offering was for An Indian Summer - "Presenting selected ideas, artifacts, and design that is aesthetic and inspiring, transforming a house into a home across the world, with special focus on Asia and India." Inspiring indeed!
