Summer Reading
I just finished reading this and I love, love, LOVED it. Marjane Satrapi has an incredible gift for storytelling in a unique way. It was interesting to imagine what I was doing during the time she had the experiences she wrote about in Persepolis.

Up next is Three Cups of Tea, recommended to me by Barb...
And The Kite Runner, recommended to me by Melissa and Marianne...
...and then Water for Elephants, which I initially picked up because the title intrigued me.
What other recommendations do you have?

i just finished the sequel to "A Year By The Sea," called "An Unfinished Marriage." both fabulous.(ps - Water For Elephants is a bit dark - just so you know!)linda
i've read the bottom 3. 3 cups of tea was fabulous. and persepolis is on my list of books to read.
i recently read martha beck's "steering by starlight" and loved it. i just picked up a copy of "the yiddish policemen's union" by michael chabon.
great summer reads i'd recommend: "set this house in order" and "fool on the hill" by matt ruff, anything by christopher moore ("lamb" is a great place to start), "the red book" by sera beak...i could go on and on. but that's a start!
three cups of tea changed my life. seriously. It is amazing and has given me a whole new direction with giving and activism.

Escape by Caroline Jessop. Holy cow this book is intense!
She writes about her life in a radical polygamist cult and her final escape.
