Ceramics Alice in Wonderland Would Love

Laurie Pollpeter Eskenazi can work wonders with clay and color...
"Highly influenced by traveling to France, Italy and the rural Midwest. Laurie's inspiration comes in many forms: the chaos of tangled roses and twisted vines that inhabit her garden, old crazy quilts, button boxes, tramp art, and vintage textiles. She wonders about their past and the women who used or created them. The bits of antique lace and other oddities found at the flea market are often seen as tools. Through her hands they are given new life and new stories. Characterized by intricate, whimsical designs in lush, vibrant colors, Laurie's work is about pattern, texture and a bit of nostalgia." -Artist Statement
