Throughout my career as an artist, my underlying mission has always been to inspire - to encourage creativity, following dreams, living a passionate life. No matter what kind of creative work I have done, my desire to set an example of possibility has been one of the strongest forces driving my goals and dreams. It is my hope that this website offers tools and tidbits that will inspire, encourage, uplift and inform.
As this is a new venture for 2008, I am sure the site will evolve and grow over time, but right now in its infancy, the following regular features can be found here each week:
8:00am Wisdom: Daily inspirational quotes
Musings: Thoughts on the creative process, life, art...and whatever else happens to catch my attention. I will also be covering certain topics as they relate to the creative process/creating a life at least once a week.
Sparkling Stories: These will be interviews with artists, space travelers, parents, gardeners, entrepreneurs...anyone who has made a dream real, taken a leap, accomplished a meaningful goal.
Weekly Links: Each week a new list of fun, inspiring or maybe even just plain silly links.
Ongoing Creative Projects Links: Permanent links of projects, activities and other ventures to help you bring a little bit of creativity into your life.
Monday Free Association: Every Monday I will post a visual entry - as in no words, just an image - and ask readers to comment on what the image means to them, makes them think of, etc. A tiny exercise to get your creative juices flowing.
Inspiring Categories: Rather than have permanent book, film and music lists, I will be creating individual entries for any of these items I come across and find inspiring. Other categories range from Architecture to Spirituality to all the various cities in which I've found inspiring goodies.
